Your Right to Data Deletion
At urwave Company (Commercial Registration No. 7052775355), we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information and/or account from our systems. We are committed to complying with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), GDPR, and other applicable data protection regulations in the regions we operate.
What Data Can Be Deleted
Upon a valid deletion request, we will permanently remove the following personal data from our systems: Account Information (name, email, phone number, profile details); Usage Data (activity logs, preferences, settings); Payment Records (after legal retention period - 7 years as per Saudi Commercial Law); Communications (support tickets, chat history, emails); Marketing Data (subscription preferences, campaign interactions); Device Information (device IDs, IP logs older than required for security); Third-Party Integrations (data shared with connected services including Meta/Facebook login data).
Data We Must Retain
Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes as required by Saudi Arabian law, including: Financial and tax records (required by Saudi ZATCA for 7+ years); Fraud prevention records; Legal dispute documentation; Court-ordered preservation; Anonymized/aggregated analytics data (non-personally identifiable); Data required for ongoing legal obligations. We will inform you if any data must be retained and the specific legal reason for retention.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request data deletion through any of these methods: 1) Email Request: Send an email to privacy@urwave.com with subject line 'Data Deletion Request' including your full name, email address associated with your account, phone number for verification, and specific data you want deleted. 2) In-App Request: If you have an account on our platforms (urWhats, urLead, urIdea, urHub), use the 'Delete Account' option in your account settings under Privacy & Data. 3) Contact Form: Use our contact form at urwave.com/contact with 'Data Deletion' as the subject. 4) Written Request: Send a signed letter to urwave Company, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Identity Verification
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity before processing your request as required by Saudi PDPL. Verification may include: Confirming your email address through a secure verification link; Requesting government-issued ID (National ID/Iqama) for sensitive data requests; Security questions associated with your account; Two-factor authentication if enabled on your account; For business accounts, authorization letter from company representative. We take these precautions to ensure only authorized individuals can request data deletion.
Processing Timeline
We will process your deletion request within the following timeframes in compliance with PDPL and GDPR: Acknowledgment of request: Within 3 business days; Identity verification: 1-5 business days; Data deletion completion: Within 30 days of verified request (as required by law); Confirmation email: Sent upon completion of deletion with summary of deleted data. For complex requests involving multiple systems or third-party integrations, we may require up to 45 days with notification. We will keep you informed of progress throughout the process.
Third-Party Data Deletion
If your data has been shared with third-party service providers or platforms, we will: Notify all relevant third parties of your deletion request within 72 hours; Request written confirmation of deletion from each party; Provide you with a list of third parties who received your data upon request; For Meta/Facebook integrated accounts, we will process the deletion through their data deletion callback URL. Note: Some third parties may have their own retention policies required by law. We recommend also contacting them directly for complete deletion.
Consequences of Data Deletion
Please be aware that data deletion is permanent and may result in: Permanent loss of your account and all associated data (cannot be recovered); Inability to recover account history, preferences, saved content, or configurations; Termination of active subscriptions (refunds subject to our refund policy and Saudi Consumer Protection Law); Loss of access to purchased services, products, or licenses; Removal from all mailing lists and communications; Loss of loyalty points, credits, or rewards. Please download any data you wish to keep using our data export feature before requesting deletion. This action cannot be undone.
Mobile App Data Deletion
For users of our mobile applications (urWhats, urLead, urIdea, urHub): Uninstalling the app does NOT automatically delete your account or server-side data; To fully delete your data, submit a deletion request using the methods above BEFORE uninstalling; Local data on your device can be cleared through your device settings > Apps > [App Name] > Clear Data; Push notification tokens will be invalidated upon account deletion; App-specific data stored locally will be removed when you uninstall. We recommend submitting a deletion request first to ensure complete data removal from our servers.
Meta/Facebook & Social Login Users
If you signed up using Facebook Login, Google, Apple, or other social authentication methods: Your urwave account data will be fully deleted as requested from our systems; We cannot delete data stored by Meta/Facebook, Google, or other social platforms on their servers; You should revoke urwave's access in: Facebook Settings > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites; Google Account > Security > Third-party apps with account access; Apple ID > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID; Contact each social platform directly using their data deletion tools to delete data they hold about you.
